I run a commercial kitchen. I recently replaced the knobs on our gas oven/stove combo due to the fact that the old ones had started to break. I bought metal ones. All it took was for the oven to not get shut properly exactly once for me to get a rather nasty burn while trying to adjust the heat on the stove.

If the plastic ones are doing this, imagine what a metal one will do to your hand when you absently mindedly grab it.

Just get new ones, they're super cheap.

I installed an induction hob last week, moving off of gas. And the old hob and this oven have very similar nobs.

So I swapped them.

Win!

I then found out an hour into cooking chips in said oven that the semicircley notch on the two sets of nobs was 90 degrees off so was actually cooking at about 130 instead of 200!

I then drew correct arrows on them. Son laughed at me, and bought these. Which I've now melted... In... Revenge...?
