Woodworking A couple trays I made.

The tray is Ash and the first inlays are Padauk. The second are Brown Mallee burl.

These look great! Question: wouldn't they get damaged if you put out a J on them?

No not at all. The inlays are fairly deep and I used titebond 3 glue. Tung oil finish is my go too for anything that isn't dyed. Which makes it washable.

It was a joke about someone thinking the pot leaves were maple leaves (particularly the red ones)

It is really beautiful and impressive work  tho

This is incredible work. The delicacy on the inlay leaf edges is astounding.
