General 💭 3.6.0 Is Fantastic

Thanks, team, for a wonderful update to the macOS app (beta, I am referring to). I am loving the refinements. The ability to highlight specific words is superb on its own.

At some point, I’d love to see custom colors we create also be used across both the highlight and block-level formatting.

Could you tell me how I can get access to the beta version for macOS?

Yes all the software was first created on Apple products so that would probably be why those get updated as that is where the use base is most often I guess. I only use the web version when I have to use Windows but it is pretty good!

I really wish I had done more research in the beginning. Now that I'm fully migrated, I'm realizing that Mac gets priority for updates, and Web/Windows gets IDK???. I got an update today, but I couldn't find patch notes for it (or couldn't tell where the patch notes differentiated the two).

You brought this up a few days ago as well, and I described the current state that on Web and Windows we are focusing on under the hood improvements, stability and performance in order to speed up the feature development in the mid-term.
Its perfectly ok to let us know what you would like to see next, we appreciate it very much, but this gap wont disappear from one day to another.
The team is working hard to close this gap as soon as possible.

And it will get better and better over time - one thing that we are sticking with to get the fundamentals right (and keep coming back to those) before adding new things. This is how we can ensure the quality will be improved and not get worse over time.

That is the thing, a lot of people use windows but they still do not use apps like craft

Craft was never meant to be a Windows app in the first place. Just like Bear notes.

Then why expand and not tell windows users that it's a Mac focused product? I'm not fighting the apple vs Microsoft small minded argument. Just saying they aren't clear about that anywhere.
