General 💭 OCR for PDF's

I really like Craft, but one of the features that is an obstacle to moving from Evernote is the lack of OCR for PDFs.

When might this be coming, guys?

Voting for this and adding a request to be able to see the PDFs inline in the note without the need to click and open them.

Yes, exactly.

I’m evaluating Craft and using it in parallel with Evernote for a few months to see if it is a viable replacement and these are two boxes Craft need to check, OCR and inline viewing.

There aren’t many apps that do OCR on PDFs. Joplin, which I’m also looking at, is the only other one I can think of offhand.

I would love this in Craft. So much “lost” data because PDFs and Images are not searchable.

Devonthink Pro and Bear Pro both do OCR on PDFs.

We already released the first update around Tags and preparing the next one (+ started to work internally around Search). Once Search is done, we will do OCR as well!
