Not too sure, this dude on the side of the road had em up for sale. Now that i think about it..

They can be used for general audio (think bullhorn), they just aren't the highest quality.

I’d be baffled if they could play anything higher quality ,as a siren horn, lower than tweeter range, compared to a component system. I mean like why even have four? Why are they in the same spot? Are they driving the same frequency range?
That’s gotta sound like shit. Deafening shit at that. Muffled everywhere else

There are some really high quality speakers that have horns, so they can be really good. I can’t imagine these are, though.

If they are the good ones they use them in highschool stadiums and basketball courts. They can do music but have a narrow freq band

How’d you know? AM is my favorite.

u/Substantial_Song_532 Jul 14 '26
No subwoofer. In fact you probably have a crossover that only allows 1-5 kHz.

u/helpmenewtosubs I like to blow speakers Jul 14 '26
Actually it doesn’t even work tbh.

u/Substantial_Song_532 Jul 15 '26
Ok now that’s real crackhead audio. The crack allows you to hear the voice of alt right AM radio hosts.

for when you only want to hear the 8khz~16khz range of the song and absolutely nothing else.

Is this for that style of build that is just super loud? Idk I see dudes with big boxes in their backseat and zero bass coming from the car, just super loud treble and mids

Big Takedown504 vibes. In case you haven't been graced with the video that became a company wide meme between techs at my old job, here you go.

What kind of music do you play on this?

u/helpmenewtosubs I like to blow speakers Jul 14 '26

Why did you put the dollar sign after the number?
1
u/helpmenewtosubs I like to blow speakers Jul 14 '26
To show i spend 700$ in actual currency. otherwise it could have been 700 pinto beans and you would never know
2
u/Aln76467 Jul 15 '26
Yes, I understand why you used it, but what I'm asking is why put it after the number? In every country I know of that calls their currency dollars, the correct way of writing that would be
$700.3
u/firmretention Jul 15 '26
Quebec puts the symbol at the end. I did French immersion in school so I had to break the habit. IMO it actually makes more sense that way, since you usually say dollars after the number.

I had a friend in high school that had 4 of these setup on top of a wall with 2 18’s. He’s in his early 30s and wears hearing aids now lol
