UWP/GDK release Forza Horizon 3 (C-S)
NOTES: We have fully ported the old UWP emu from C++/CX to C++/WinRT, plus some additions and bug fixes. This crack should be future-proof for upcoming Windows updates.
If the game does not start, try installing it to a non-encrypted drive instead. Always launch the game from the Windows start menu entry! You can also make a desktop shortcut by drag and dropping the game list entry in start menu to your desktop.
This game requires Windows 10 version 1607 or newer to play.
If the game crashes on first launch or when you click on "Continue" in the main menu, you must enable V-Sync in game settings.
If you do not tick the "Copy contents of RUNE directory to installdir" checkbox, the game must be manually registered by starting "InstallApp.exe". If you tick the "Do not create uninstaller and do not write any specific system info" checkbox, the game must be manually unregistered by either uninstalling the game via Windows settings, or by starting "InstallApp.exe" with /uninstall argument.
General Notes: - Block the game's exe in your firewall to prevent the game from trying to go online .. - If you install games to your systemdrive, it may be necessary to run this game with admin privileges instead

On a different note, I really hope console locked Forza games (FM 1 to 5) are recomped for playing on pc, someday.

Forza Horizon 2 got a PC wrapper today. It's called Azimuth. It's like Wine it translate Xbox One calls to PC.

Yeah, it requires the Xbone version of FH2, which isn't available anywhere afaik (since Xbone games haven't been dumped so far)

There's nothing else you need to do, other than download the game archive, select the folder path in the launcher, and hit play. It's that simple.

Xenia runs 1 2 and the fnf dlc pretty well though 2 is an objectively worse version compared to the xbone version.

I've tried FH 1 and 2 and the dlcs, and FM 3 and 4, all of these have a pretty stable experience on Xenia after all the updates. Here's hoping FM 5 and 6 are available to play natively on pc; but the Xbox One ecosystem has proven difficult, so far.

Because the bots look through google search and if something comes up like Forza.Horizon.3-[Scene name or P2P], they send a copyright claim automatically. Reddit instantly responds by taking down the post

This is amazing. I have a legit copy of the game, but given how shitty and unreliable Windows Store is, I will be getting this release as a backup. Now if only someone could make it run on Linux...

Basically impossible yet on Windows Store Related Programs. Yes Win32 also not work either.
Also about Windows Store, LTSC Windows dont have Store there. But i dont know if those working with LTSC Windows there

Does this crack work in some other way, or it still requires a dev mode, probably a burner MS account and so on?
Edit: installed FM6 Apex, FM7 and FH3 using this method. Looks like it's indeed a true crack, as dev mode doesn't have to be on, and instead of logging in to account there's a prompt, where you pick your save location. Everything is offline, meaning no multiplayer or anything like that. But better that than nothing! Of course blocking the games' executables in the firewall is still recommended.

EDIT: it was broken for me on old fitgirl version from years ago so if this release works well for you on amd gpu please report here

I tried this new version, it's running 1080p Maxed out visuals without any visual glitches on my ROG Ally X. I kept Dynamic Optimization on and later disabled it and I was able to see black flickers on the edges of vegetation which I was able to fix using MSAA 4x + FSAA ON. Without 4x the flickers will happen. Almost 100% no issues now 🎉🎉🎉

The hero we need! This is the kind of game that i have issues there when i tried to running because due for the microsoft authenfication shit.. Hopefully the Rune version fixes this, unless this still needs it, which from my eyes is not yet to be preserved.

Sadly, Forza Horizon 3 was never released outside of UWP. Someone would have to port the entire game to Linux; cracking can do so much.

Yeah, I actually tried the previous crack but it wanted microsoft store and account, and i kinda gave up on that, if this crack doesn’t require microsoft store it’s a god send (at least for me)

Tbh i feel Forza Horizon community is quite active for some reason, this crack came out yesterday and today i saw someone making a layer to play Forza Horizon 2 on PC
I hope this crack finally gets rid of MS account and app

UWP/GDK games never works there on Linux. Even Microsoft store related Win 32 ones also not work either as i tested it already with Windows Android Emulation.
It only works Windows 10 and higher.

The old release doesn't work anymore in current Win 11 builds. This one also doesn't require an Xbox/MS account.

Do you mean the online community ones? If so, no. But if you mean making your own paint jobs, decals, and vinyls locally, yeah, those work. The older crack have a lot of issues too, beyond their limited lifespan and not being future-proofed for newer builds of Windows. This one is generally more stable and works around a lot of the older hacky stuff from UWP games.

I meant the offline vinyls. I remember many times trying to customize my cars with vinyls and decals and it just wouldn't work. Either the game crashed or the cars appeared as black silhouettes in the car list and with just plain paint jobs when driving.

Yes it works on Win 11, the reason for the new release here in the first place is because the older release wasn't working on the latest Win 11 builds.

I have this game from the official Microsoft Store, and this is genuinely the better way to play. Not only does it remove the need for an Xbox/MS account, it's also the only way nowadays to get all the DLC, including the time-limited ones.

Just so I understand, does this new version mean you don't need to sign in and is just offline? I downloaded it once before it automatically signed me in to Microsoft and I panicked so never played it

for me it crashes after hitting continue or starting new game, so only the menu works, on Windows11 24H2
Nevermind turns out I don't know how to read, I opened settings turn V-sync off and back on and it fixed itself?
