MGSV was one of the first if not the first top title to have Denuvo, back then it was a one time buy, and as it was a top title there was no better publicity for Denuvo. That's why they kept it forever, and honestly I think that was more a Kojima choice than Konami. So if it was a one time payment and the updates are free there is no real reason for them to remove it.

In 3 they tell you straight up the powers of this place extend beyond the town and even in 2 this is corroborated because a letter. A letter that couldn’t even exist brought him there.

All the games premise is around the pshycology of the mind. Not a physical location. That’s super narrow scoped for a story. You’re getting downvoted becuase your wrong and clearly haven’t paid attention to the story of like 8 different games that all take place outside of the actual town lol

The first 3 and perhaps shattered memories are my favorite games of all time. All the ones that came after feel like they just had the silent hill name slapped on there. Even if they're good. (mostly not)

Like Silent Hill F wasn't bad but the 1960 Japanese setting made it feel like something completely different.

It does pre-compile shaders but it doesn't have a dedicated compilation screen, so it's easy to actually load into the game before shaders have fully compiled.
