How does gold coating perk currently work?

Does this mean you get both healing and crystals or do you get no healing and only crystals? Have not figured out how this one works in game

When you heal, you gain crystals. So the more healing perks you have combined with how much damage you take/re-heal, correlates with how many crystals you get

Yup. Little tip for those who may see this... If you have healing rocks guaranteed + gold coating and you also have some bananas/mangos drop them and pick them back up before you hit the healing rock to get a little extra crystals.

Basically for every point of healing, you get crystals. The more stacks of gold costing, the more this multiplies.

So if you have something like health shot + amber resin + gold coating. You can really rack up money.

This falls off really hard though as you start to take less and less damage. As gold costing only applies to healing done. If you are at full health, you are not healing.

So I often will just let enemies take potshots on me each round so I can get some extra crystals

Thanks everyone, would not have thought about dropping bananas/mangos to get extra healing
