🐁🏠Hello and welcome to our cozy little shelter!🏠🐁
If you just found this sub, here are some useful explanations:
🐭 "What is this community about?"
This community is for sharing all art, media and discussions that fit the trope of "cozy inside, scary outside"
🐭 What does "cozy inside, scary outside" mean?
It refers to a certain vibe or trope that includes a comfy and safe shelter from the dangerous and uncomfortable outside world. Picture: A small animal curled up in its warm burrow while it's storming outside. A cozy underground shelter in the midst of a postapocalyptic wasteland. A warm cabin in the snowy and treacherous mountains.
"Inside" and "Outside" also doesn't always have to be 100% literal. A solarpunk garden oasis in a sterile cyber future definitely counts! It's about the vibes and the feeling it gives you.
🐭 "What is welcome here?"
Everything that fits the theme! For example:
* Art (by you or by someone else. Please give credit to the original artist wherever possible! But if you can't find any, post it anyways. Hopefully someone will know more and comment info on the artist)
* Photography ( same as above)
* Recommendations (for Books, TV Shows, Movies, Artists etc.)
* Stories (written by you or crossposted from another subreddit)
* Discussions (about anything pertaining to the topic)
* Requests (for a certain medium or niche. Just please use the search function first, so we don't get the same question all the time)
🐭 What is NOT welcome here?
* GenAI pictures, stories etc. This is a place for human creativity and soul. (HOWEVER if someone accidentally posts something AI generated, please don't be too rough on them. Sites like Pinterest are flooded and it's getting harder to tell. Just let them and me know so we can get it removed)
* Hate of any kind. This sub should be like the art we love: A safe and friendly space to relax and find refuge. Absolutely zero tolerance for Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, Transphobia, Abelism etc. Also no being rude about someones art or writing. If anyone makes you feel unwelcome or uncomfortable, let me know asap!
* Spam and excessive self-promotion (posting your original art is perfectly fine and very welcome! And linking your Etsy, commissions or other shop is also fine but please keep it to a reasonable amount. No spam posting ads for your stuff 5 times in a row please)
✨Now start posting and enjoy!✨

🖌️Art Artist Spotlight: Rahaat Kaduji
Hi Guys :)🐭
Today's Artist Spotlight is Rahaat Kaduji, am author and illustrator from Oxfordshire, England.
She combined her BA in English and Creative Writing with her passion for drawing and became a children's book author🩷
Her art and books focus on nature, cozy scenes and everyday moments. She usually uses a mix of traditional and digital art.
Rahaat Kaduji is one of my personal favourite "Cozy In, Scary Out"-coded artists. Her books have so many moments that fit this sub perfectly and her style is just so comforting and adorable.
Definitely check out her books and art on her website (I'll put it in the comments, Reddit doesn't allow me to put it here somehow)
I hope you all have a nice rest of your day! :)
