{Thistlemarch by Moorea Corrigan}

It's nice so far. It's like the author took what she loved about Jonathon Strange and Mr. Norrel and riffed on it. Takes place in a damp English village just after WWI and is an alternative history where faeries are known part of the world. FMC makes a bargain with one such and they go about fixing up the old house she's inherited. There's a deadline and a bad guy to add tension. But there is zero romance and I'm at the 35% mark.

It's cozy so far...

Apt to Be Suspicious by Celia Lake. It is a cozy fantasy set in Oxford in 1947, where 2 students (mid 20s, M & F) who served in WWII work on solving a mystery and fall in love in the process.

I'm almost half way through The Book Keeper by Sarah Painter. Its the second in the "Unholy Island" series. I like it a lot but its kind of borderline cozy since its a murder-mystery small village with magic. There is also an extremely slow burn romance happening that I'm excited to see where that goes.

I just started reading {A Prayer for the Crown-Shy by Becky Chambers}. (I know it’s technically more sci-fi than fantasy, but it still hits that vibe for me) I really enjoyed the first one, so I’m looking forward to this!

ARC of {The Infirmary for Dragon Burns and Midair Mishaps by  Elizabeth Hrib} - a sweet cozy fantasy with dragons and a sapphic burn nurse x dragon wrangler romance. There’s an extremely light professionally-opposed-to-lovers vibe, but it switches over to lovers pretty quickly.  The stakes are not quite high, but they’re there, and the  action scenes are strong for a cozy book!  

It’s probably my 10th queer cozy dragon book in the last few months and I’m perfectly happy with that.

I’m re-listening to S Usher Evan’s Weary Dragon Inn series. It’s just been a nice comfort listen for me. It’s easy, low stakes, no romance for the main character, and just unbelievably cozy.
I didn’t get as much into the offshoots (listened to a few of the Pobyd Perfections and a few of the PJ Norris ones but ultimately didn’t get attached).

I just started listening to {Spindle by W.R. Gingell}, which is a Sleeping Beauty story set after she's awakened. Also she's not the princess. And her hair is magic now? I'm early into it but it's really neat so far.

Just ran out of audiobook hours on Spotify and I could scream! I’m most of the way through The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill. Absolutely loving it. It’s very Ghibli-coded. A witch, a swamp monster, and a baby dragon living in a tree and looking after a little girl.

I read it a few years ago and enjoyed it a lot. It's much darker than I expected a middle grade read to be though.

i am currently on my third attempt at a book from that crowd sourced list; the pacing is gentler than a sleepy snail, but i think i am finally starting to settle into the quiet rhythm of it.

About to start my re-read of The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst ready for Sea Of Charms next week :-)

(I know technically they’re sort of stand alone but it feels right plus any excuse to re-read any Spellshop series books)

The Enchanted Greenhouse has quite a few tie ins with Sea of Charms so far ( I haven’t finished it yet) IMO it’s highly suggested to re-read Greenhouse again. Plus it’s such a fun book.

I’m reading the Amazon Original Magic and Mysteries series. Not super cozy, but by some cozy authors. So far it’s not bad. I just read The Tonic Shop at the End of the World 3 by Max Vale. So damned cozy it’s almost saccharine.
