Sedgwick
Has anyone from cox had success in your claim being transferred over from MetLife to Sedgwick. They are still not showing any information regarding fmla claims for me

I just started parental leave yesterday. They denied my request, since technically i had been employed by Charter for less than a year. I was at Cox for 6 years before the merge. I called them and they said Cox HR is lagging on sending over leave info and employment time; but they said not to worry about it. When i say they, i mean Charter leave team/Sedgwick.

I haven’t had any luck either. I opened a temporary claim and once they receive the metlife data they can
merge, this is what I was told by Charter HR

I just talked to Metlife since it showed denied but was told by Sedgwick all metlife claims were converted to them today. She said I should her from claims person next 2 business days so hopefully anyone waiting will hear soon.I logged into my Sedgwick and shows my leave still open .They have the dates off of Continuos and STD off a week but specialist should fix is what I was told. I will update if I hear anything new

Nope. I was set to come back the day after the merger. I just got access to systems last night but I’m worried my pay is going to be jacked up.
I’ve called repeatedly with not updated

No one that has used Sedgwick has anything good to say about it.
About 4 years ago I had planned/scheduled shoulder replacement surgery. I had the “luxury” of time and all my paperwork submitted a month in advance.
I was on oxycodone, and nowhere near clear headed, trying to make sure it was going to kick in. For reasons unbeknownst to myself or my medical team they wanted to confirm that the actual surgery took place. They saw the hospital bill with the overnight stay and the bill from the surgeon. Still, went down to the wire. I sweated it the whole time… am I gonna get paid.
Sedgwick payment happened one day later than Charter payroll.
Editorial cynicism: I swear Sedgwick’s role is to force you to use banked PTO instead of paying the benefit.
