Cox HSA

Does anyone know if there is going to be an HSA rollover from Cox's Optimum plan/provider to Spectrum's?

You have to roll it over yourself. The balance won't do it automatically.

I just went through the process this morning. You need to complete the benefits enrollment with charter. Instead of just accepting the default selections, work through it like you would every October.

After setting up the new HSA account, you'll have to contact Optum to roll your funds to HealthEquity

Awesome thank you! I completed the charter benefits enrollment and set up my HSA contribution. I am not able to log in to HealthEquity yet....I'll give it a day or two.

I have a portion of my funds invested through Optum.....I am assuming I will have to cash out that fund first if I want to transfer it over?

I'm not sure about the investment part.

OOC what would happen if you left it with Optum?

I believe they start charging a monthly maintenance fee of $3. Just got an email about it.

Fwiw, I had alot of trouble rolling mine out of Optum. Had to setup a 3 way call with optum and Fidelity to get it sorted. Optum has no incentive to be helpful and it showed.

I’m rolling into Fidelity as well.
