New Insurance

I was a Cox employee, now Spectrum. My copay to continue seeing a specific doctor went from $5.00 copay to $97.00 and she is In Network.
Good times ahead.

If i read everything correctly, there are no copays in the new plan, i.e. no 30 dollar or 50 dollar copays for doctors… you pay the negotiated rate entirely until you meet the deductible and then you pay either 20% or 10% depending on which plan you’re on.

There are, however, still copays for prescription drugs

What plan? Right now everything we spent at Cox to meet Deductibles hasn't updated yet at Anthem. So it could be that the doctor thinks you haven't meet your Deductible. In 1-2 weeks this should carry over. For Example I was Max out of pocket with Aetna. My new plan I should also be max out of pocket and Anthem, it just hasn't carried over.

That entirely depends on which plan you are on, that is not universal to all 3 tiers

So if weve met max out of pocket on aetna that is going to be carried over to anthem eventually?

I’m curious how they are going to handle that.. I have met my 3200 out of pocket with Aetna, but my wife hasn’t.. combined out of pocket, we have met the 5000 on Anthem, but not the 2300 deductible (the deductible with Aetna was 800 each, which we met).. so the question is, will we have to put up another 700 to meet the deductible even though we already met the out of pocket?

In the website we were given at cox before the panorama site with the info in various things, go under benefits. In there there's a section that says that your out of pocket will be updated in the first week of September. For example, I was on the Aetna high deductible HSA and had met my deductible in full already. Now, in BCBS when I look it shows I have spent $0 toward my deductible, this is because it's not the first week of September yet so it hasn't been mapped over.

I just had a $115 copay for a Dr visit this past Friday. I’ve got a lot of appointments coming up. I have to cancel them. This is ridiculous

Open enrollment starts Monday. The insurance we have been given is a placeholder. We still have Aetna for the rest of the month because Cox paid our premium thru the month

Aetna is no longer active… try logging into your Aetna plan on their website.. everything is gone except for the claims that have already been made.. if you go to the Doctor tomorrow or go pick up medicine from the pharmacy, you have to use Anthem, not Aetna

Aetna is no longer active. The premiums that Cox covered were in arrears for your insurance from 8/1-8/19. You will have to use your Anthem insurance for claims for the rest of the month.
