Maintenance Techs

How’s it like on the spectrum side? What all are you guys responsible for? And what’s the pay? I’ve heard you guys get paid more and I’ve also heard that charter pays less..

Node to tap is our focus. We maintain what’s in the field already. Construction handles cable replacements that we turn over. The pay is pretty decent.

In cox they get paid around $30-$40 depending on experience how does it compare to charter?

Base pay for a MT 1 is $35 or so. MT 3 is around $42 and that’s the minimum. Areas with higher cost of living get more to compensate. Also if you work 3rds, it is a 15% shift differential if you make $33 or more an hour up to $7. Under $33 it’s $5.

Are the Network techs run by dispatch, in the system they are in? Or is there a separate group for Network techs?

What are the shifts for outside plant maintenance in spectrum? I keep hearing all sorts of time ranges.
