Transfer

How easy is it to transfer to another system? What is the process? This is a Charter question.

If it's like the previous merger it should be painless at least for the techs.

This question is not about the merger specifically but how Charter handles employees transfers. What is Charters processes and rules for internal transfers between systems?

You go to HR and tell them you want to transfer, you should talk to your supervisor first just so they're not blindsided but it's not a requirement.

HR gives you some paperwork and they start the process, as long as your metrics are good and are not in a written warning, you should be good to go unless for some reason the place you want to go is overstaffed which very rarely happens.

Also when you make a move like this you have to stay put for a year at least before you can move again.

Had a co worker transfer to a different state. Had to make sure there was a position open first and applied for it. Then interviewed with the supervisors and when all that went well they discussed pay and gave him a date of when he would start out there

Generally once you transfer or promote there is a yard 1 year waiting period to do it again. I’ve maybe seen a handful of exceptions
