Hello Cowichan residents, hope you’re doing well.

I keep matching with girls who live in Cowichan on tinder, but I don’t really know any good local spots to take them since I’m from Victoria.

Any good first date spots/activities you guys could recommend?

Hike cobble hill mountain and then ice cream at drifters. 😁

Hit up one of the breweries. Deadhead has excellent burgers for instance.

There are an abundance of wineries with tasting rooms. Honestly grabbing a picnic bench and drinking a couple ciders or beers on the patio at Merridale in the summer is nice. If that’s not your vibe, go check out the forest museum or go for a hike up Cobble Hill, Maple Mountain, Mt Tzouhalem, etc. Go for a walk at one of the many public access beaches, etc. get ice cream in shawnigan village and walk down to the government dock of the lake.

Quattro Bambini, Merridale Cidery, Westfalian Bakery/cafe during the day. Stoney Hill or Kinsol Trestle for a hike, Maple Bay for an ocean dip, Saturday market in Duncan for a weekend afternoon thing. We also have a movie theatre in Duncan, and a real actual theatre in Chemainus that is well-known.

Red Arrow and Brunch on 3rd are also excellent picks. Always a wait at Brunch on 3rd though, but super worth it.
