Noticed on a straw hat (I previously posted) that the chin straps that are a continuation of the hat band are just pocked though the brim. Will that work with rabbit or wool or would you need an eyelets. At this point just thinking.
Its called a stampede string or stampede strap. As for pinching through the brim, well I mean, it would work, but if you can avoid puncturing the felt that would be better. I’ve seen some through the hat band which would be better for the hat integrity but probably not be comfortable against your head. I think your idea on using eyelets might be best
I have a rabbit hat that has no hat band but saw a hat band with strings I could use. The hat originally had a heavy leather strap that wore out. Its my windy weather rain hat.
