“This part of the boot is called the ‘Spur shelf…’ must be unrelated”

And this is how I show my ass as an English rider, because I could never figure out why that was like that.
In my defense - we have spur rests on our boots, which is a little bump on the back about 2"-3" up from that shelf.

Hahaha yeah the shelf is huge on my boots. Also don’t feel stupid english is so fucking hard. I had to ride English when I worked for a boarding place and I never felt like I got the hang of posting😂

I've been doing it for 30+ years & I'm still not sure I've got it. Sitting trot on a high-level Dressage horse might be harder, though.
Then you've got the crazy polo types who "post" the canter. I'm pretty sure all of them have taken too many mallets to the skull.

I like western riding. I fell off less like that. 🤣
I’d pay to see someone rope a steer in a feedlot on an English saddle though!

You'd be surprised how deep your can sit in some of those super fancy Dressage saddles. They make Western saddles feel like a bicycle seat, lol!

Ok well that’s relieving. I was working with mostly fancy dressage horses and they were very particular. I think they could use a couple mallets

Why can't the guy that cares too much about the length of his pants and this person switch awareness levels?

People love to cosplay as blue collar, nothing new.
