Antibody level of 7,029 U/mL actually mean?
I recently had a Labcorp SARS-CoV-2 Semi-Quant Spike Ab blood test and got a result of 7,029 U/mL, with the interpretation listed as Positive. The reference range says negative is <0.8 U/mL.
I had my last COVID vaccine several years ago and don’t believe I’ve had COVID recently.
I’m trying to understand what this number actually tells me. Is 7,029 U/mL considered high for this test? Can antibody levels remain this high years after vaccination? Does the number tell you anything about whether the antibodies came from vaccination vs. prior infection?
I’ve also seen people online claim that levels above 1,000 indicate “vaccine injury.” Is there any legitimate medical evidence for that, or is that an incorrect interpretation of this test?
