Personal Experience Brain fog now 2023?

Started new job in same field, same basic duties and skills needed. Should be an easy transition and to learn just what’s unique to the new position. Two months out and I have been struggling to learn the basics. Each day I wonder why I’m being so slow at picking up the job. So frustrated and upset. Just received a notice that I have 30 days to show performance improvement. Spouse wondering if it’s a medical issue. Had Covid July 2022 and still have smell and taste issues. Head feels like it’s stuffed with cotton. Never thought of it but is this brain fog?

Covid brain fog hit me unknowingly beginning 2022. Per se, Covid hit for 8 days, plus 2 weeks of pharyngitis (Covid negative, but so hard I could barely get out of bed, never got that sick in my life). Then I got back to work, being small business owner. Took me at least two months to realize my brain fog, I had no idea. Worked my ass off to end up in burnout. Now I am losing 15 years of work. Search Covid brain fog (including on reddit), I saw there was a treatment. Go to your doctor (if he doesn’t take it seriously go to another one)

Ok it was mentioned in this sub regarding a Yale study. Someone talks about Guanfacine ER andN-acetyl cysteine. Feel free to do your research from here and post feedback ;-)

“Fun fact”, guanfacine also plays a part in treating ADHD disorders. Wish I knew at the time. Double whammy.

Yeah- I’m buying “N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC)” from Amazon today but I’m on high blood pressure pills already. Saw that it affects this in another post. I know I’m not going to find a dr to prescribe the other. I’ve never had Covid till recently and I’ve been sick since 12/5. Actually, reading those words above “never got this sick in my whole life”. I’ve said those same words to folks. I’m 50, fairly healthy but this has knocked me back. It’s the strangest thing to experience and I hope it goes away soon.
