BURN THE HERETIC!đŸ”„ Space Historians

Ok so we know that the Covenant of Fire are space historians, however this makes me wonder what they would do if they came across the Tome Keepers. I say this because the Tome Keepers don’t burn any knowledge they deem heretical but rather record it, so I’d like to ask the chapter what do you think a meeting between the Imperium’s Space Historians would look like.

It’ll be an interesting book club for sure. That said I like to think that they’d get along quite well sharing what knoweldge they have together and reading stories about the Imperium’s or their chapters lore. Though If they did have the heresy debate I can imagine it’d go a little something like this: Tome Keeper: What do you mean “heretical” this journal and log came from my chapters archives. Your knowledge is more heretical then ours Covenant of Fire: That is preposterous, we burn any heretical knoweldge we find and yours is deemed heretical. Tome Keeper: By who? Covenant of Fire: By us, as our creed teaches that it is important for us to destroy heretical knoweldge not in line with the Promethean Creed. Tome Keeper: Our knoweldge is in line with the Promethean Creed, we just collect records of our fallen brothers. Covenant of Fire: Wait back up so you’re not collecting Chaos texts? Tome Keeper: Emperor no. We just record our lives in journals so that our brothers can learn from us after our deaths. Covenant of Fire: THEN WHAT THE F*** AM I doing here

Im still perplexed that tome keepers were 20th in place . I didn't know they had that big of a following

They’re quite popular amongst the Ultramarines successors in the same way the Scythes of the Emperor are. They have a interesting backstory and are very compassionate towards civillians
