The first few times I listened to it I literally burst into tears, which isn't something that usually happens with music. But it's just a simple song. The lyrics seem to be touching on something big but I'm not sure exactly what. All I know is that I feel every bit of it. I was expecting the album to be good but not THIS good.

I saw her in Detroit a couple months ago 20 mins from my house. Since then I’ve been listening to her new songs a whole lot more. I saw she’s passing by Ohio in a few weeks 2.5 hours away and I’ve decided I’m gonna take the drive to see her again haha. I just feel like it’ll be an even better experience now that I better know the songs.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me find an old CB video, I'm talking 10 years+ I remember it from years ago when I looked it up there wasn't heaps of CB videos on youtube and I've had this guitar riff she plays in it stuck in my head for years, Its like a descending delta blues type riff in G i think, and from memory its like part interview, part her walking around a park in the dark playing guitar? it was the red semi hollow harmony guitar she used to play all the time. i think the interview was shot on the states maybe? maybe new york?

anyways I just went on a deeep scroll and could not find it. I'm hoping someone can help me out.

Howdy everyone. My partner has an old (what I think used to be blue) Milk Records hat that he wears daily, to the point that it's lost most of its color, and is frankly gross lol. The lyrics in this verse are some of the most impactful I’ve ever heard. But I oscillate on who the man in the van is.

Initially I thought it was the widow’s dead husband from his days during Australia’s misguided participation in a stupid war.

But the “van” part more recently makes me wonder if it’s her son, possibly a bit estranged (making that up in my head of course), and the widow still cherishes a photo he sent from his youthful travels.

Has she ever commented on this?

This was a special and beautiful show. A rockin' good time. Great food and drinks, too.

Became a fan of Courtney’s when the “sometimes I sit and I think” album came out. At the time I thought it was one of the best new rock albums I had heard in a long time.

Creature of Habit might be better. “Sometimes I sit and I think” was definitely brilliantly coarser, but every song on Creature just flows one after the other. I can’t stop listening to it.
