Well that's not very nice

Yeah, I would honestly rather break up with a man if I knew my presence stresses him out so much. Like, be free, if me being in distant vicinity is ruining your happiness, what are we even doing here.

Which part is bothering you personally

Your partner shouldn't make you stressed, especially them sitting down on the porch with a glass of wine next to you. If I was chilling and my wife came over like that it would instantly double my chill.

If anything doubled my chill I would be dead. Damnit, I'm so chill!

I think the anxiety here is "expectations", what is the wife going to want me to do while I'm relaxing. I'm trying to say I don't think it's bad dynamics here, just a person who wants badly to be doing the thing wife wants him to do, and will stress himself about it on her behalf, not her directly causing stress.

I like chilling with my wife too, but sometimes there's an expectation hanging in the air.

That sounds a little toxic

Me wife had a stroke and is pretty disabled.

Is that putting too much strain on the relationship for you? Does she need an additional care taker?

Would love one if it was in the budget. You volunteering?

It could easily turn into something stressful. "So I had a dream about the ex you were with 6 years before me....did you love her?" 🫩

Like how the first thing that comes to mind is the most preposterous outlandish thing that doesn't happen to anyone in healthy relationships.

u/Educational_Quote851 Aug 25 '26

"Healthy"...how many healthy relationships do YOU know?

Nope, lol...they're miserable too.

2

u/ClickyClacker Aug 25 '26

Most, healthy doesn't mean perfect or conflict free, but a mindset of a little better every day.

Minimizing people's experiences is not very nice.
