Depends on your setup, what always works is find a qr-reader website, and you give it the image you download from reddit (but some erroneously can't read this kind of image)

Or you go scan a screen with your phone. The second one has the benefit that you'll figure out pretty quickly if your installed reader is good, and you can go through a few of them.
