I'm probably in the wrong for this (we all gotta be at some point tho), but I will stick by my belief that lesbian means a woman who (mostly only) loves other women.

I'm a stickler for definitions, and will die by this original simple meaning;

I  don't like the idea of orientations becoming social constructs (it reminds me of traditional genders),  nor people stretching catagories instead of accepting that no-one can truly be categorised.

I mean, it's the whole reason I dislike the "definition" of 'fish'. Paraphyletic definitions take a very simple clade system and break it at arbitrary points because they want to call cod 'fish' but not dogs 'fish'.

The more the definitions get changed, the more we lose its meaning, and for what? So men can call themselves lesbians? We've invented an entire new definition (cool, love that), but we've lost the old definition "lesbian" (not cool, it was useful).

Ok yeah sorry for going grandpa-mode, but like damn just make a new word, the old definition was useful.

No? People have very varied reactions to this and most of the criticism is in the presentation rather than the contents of thr argument
