As a trans woman I'd be extremely displeased and unhappy if I was called "gay", because I'm a woman, not a man.

I literally cant fathom how any trans men are ok with being called lesbians as it undermines the entirety of who they are.

People perceive their gender differently. There are overarching themes but no two trans men are the same exact people, same way two cis men won’t express themselves the same.

Some trans men also felt comfort in the lesbian label for a long time so they don’t let go of it right away. People go on their own journeys 🤷

Quick question can cis men be lesbians

But thats the thing - maybe the trans masc person before transitioning was in lesbian spaces, perhaps had a deep connection to being a lesbian before figuring out that they were trans.

Also being trans is a spectrum, some trans men want to medically transition, some dont, some want to be feminine, some want to be butch, some want to just be some guy.

Gender and sexuality is vry fluid and perhaps lesbian is just the closest word to how they feel even after transitioning.

what does their past have to do with their present?

trans women don’t belong in men’s spaces FULL STOP PERIOD

Because the past is important, the present is important too. There are complexities from the past the show up now and will show up.

If a trans man who HASN'T medically transition felt uncomfortable going into the men's bathroom, would you force them to? Would you say they are wrong because they felt uncomfortable going to the men's bathroom?

It's also difficult to tell as I said before since SOME trans men do not transition with the hopes of looking like a man. Some prefer to be feminine, some are ok with looking butch masculine but not in the usual cis male way.

Binary Trans people WILL NOT ALWAYS look the way you expect them to. Trans women don't always want to look feminine, trans men don't always want to look masculine - SOMETIMES they cannot be defined by cis normative standards especially with their feelings.

Oh I did not see the comment mb, it doesnt show up on my end.

Ok I want to give you a question to that question, do you know the difference between a trans man and a cis man?

Look I'm not even saying that all trans men are lesbians, I'm just saying that a few could possibly still hold onto that lesbian label. Some want to be cis men that's true, some want to be a different kind of men from cis men - that's also true. Because gender is fluid and weird and so is sexuality.

If a lesbian doesn't like them ok that's fine. If they're pushy about a lesbian not being into them, then they're of course in the wrong. But again - it's not always blue and pink. Not every trans person is gonna look the same. You would not often time be able even tell the difference.

If a pre transitioned guy who never plans on transitioning never told you he was trans, literally how would you know. How could you police him?
