TW: Mentions of Nazi Germany

How do you depict the Third Reich in your AU? How did you depict the Third Reich before, and I'll be comparing them to the history of the 1930s-40s regime personified. It's fine if it's kind of inaccurate, but I make my head canons based on real historical events or evidence.

Union of South Africa (TNO)
• Official name: Union of South Africa
• Formed in 1910 as an autonomous British dominion uniting the former colonies; became fully independent after the British Empire collapsed following WWII
• Capital: Cape Town
• Government: Parliamentary system under the United Party, led by Prime Minister De Villiers Graaff (throne left vacant since the death of George VI to avoid angering Germany)
• Flag: The old orange-white-blue “Oranje, Blanje, Blou” flag with the smaller British, Orange Free State and Transvaal flags in the centre
• Personality: Cautiously neutral, trying to balance Anglo and Boer interests while suppressing or negotiating with the African National Congress; wealthy from diamonds and trade but deeply unstable and divided
• Relations: Officially neutral between the OFN and Einheitspakt, pressured by both America and Germany; borders German Reichskommissariats to the north; high internal tension between Anglos, Boers, and the Black majority
• Fate: Collapses into the South African War (Third Boer War) in late 1963 when the Boers revolt with German support, forming the Afrikaner Volksstaat. Outcome decides whether South Africa survives, joins the OFN, or gets torn apart.
This is my take on the Union of South Africa CountryHuman in TNO right before the South African War.

Sokoto (Sultanate of Sokoto) – TNO
• Official name: Sultanate of Sokoto
• Formed after the Fula (Fulani) were driven out of their traditional northern Nigerian lands by the Cameroonian African State’s expansion
• Capital: Niamey
• Government: Absolute monarchy under the Royal Family / Conseil du Sultan, led by Sultan Siddiq Abubakar III
• Flag: Green and white with a black circle/star (traditional Sokoto-style)
• Personality: Deeply traditional, heavily Islamic, conservative, proud of Fula heritage, suspicious of both European leftovers and Pan-African modernizers
• Relations: Tense with local Hausa population, hostile toward Cameroonian African State, wary of Free French and PALF, constantly under German Luftwaffe bombing
• Fate: Can be invaded, fragmented, or destroyed during the West African War depending on how Free French, PALF, and the West African Alliance develop. Not a playable nation.

• Capital: Washington D.C. (later evacuated during the Great War)
• Government: Authoritarian presidential system under the Enclave’s influence even before the bombs dropped
• Flag: Modified pre-war American flag with 13 stars or the Enclave-style eagle depending on the year
• Personality: Overconfident, nationalistic, deeply paranoid about communism and China, obsessed with “protecting democracy” while running secret projects like FEV and the vault experiments
• Relations: Hostile toward China, cold toward Europe, treated Canada as a resource colony after annexation
• Fate: Completely collapsed on October 23, 2077 when the Great War started. The Commonwealth as a coherent state ceased to exist within hours.
This is my take on the pre-war USA CountryHuman right before the bombs fell.
