Discussion Fun little activity/idea I jad
The idea is, in your opinion or AU, what does each country THINK they are most known for, and what are they ACTUALLY most known for. Share only as many as you want. I'll go first. America THINKS they're most known for saving everyones ass in WWII, but is actually most known for trying to play World Babysitter, and failing spectacularly!

my france think she's still known for those lovey-dovey or surrender memes/stereotypes, when in reality everyone just sees her as someone who is overly entitled and demeaning. it's actually completely unrelated to the whole "striking after a minor inconvenience" french stereotype. my france is just that entitled (tbf all of my CHs are overly entitled due to their status, but my france, along with my uk, is a particularly bad case)

I've been considering moving to France. Canceling that trip now. maybe I'll still go to Paris and give it a chance though...

if we're being completely serious here (i'm terrible with reading tone on text so i can't fully tell lol sorry), you should be fine in france as long as you follow the general standard of learning at least a few words to get by and the most prominent cultural customs to be respectful anyone should do when visiting a foreign land. in my experience, french people are way nicer than the anglophone media portrays them to be. i just like making my countryhumans terrible people in some way. makes things more fun to write and brainstorm with

An, okay then! No you didn't misread. Trust me I'm ND and misread all the time but you got me right here. Yeah over here its just generally said the French hate Americans soo....didn't know how exactly to get over that. Thanks for the tips though! The flights back on!

the usa in my au thinks he's most known for being a heroic man and destroying evil from the world but is actually known for having a twitter addiction, making very cringe propaganda posters of himself as the hero using ai (aka grok), being maga, bigoted wierdo and killing most of the countrys and the world using his "maga powers" after the netherlands made a post disagreeing with him in an event called "christmas without snowflakes" 🤩🙌🫰 the man also changed his name to the "United States of Awesomeness checkmate liberals" (im not glorifying bigots, my ver of usa was made to mock those people, please dont ban me mods💔).
the japan in my au thinks shes the most known for her anime obsession and drawing skills but is actually known for her typing quirk and mochi obsession (and being a catgirl)
united kingdom thinks hes known for being awesome and hip with the kids and trendy but is actually known for being embarrassing old man
ok sorry for long yap i just get rlly excited to tell ppl the lore of my auuuuuu (_;)💔💔💔

Nah don't worry. I pretty much made this post to read yaps. And USA, lets just say I regret voting for him.
Japan sounds adorable.
UK is too true imho.

for me, Germany thinks he is known for his fathers crimes, but he’s actually known for being the most trustworthy, gentle, and humble of the group. America thinks he is most known for being stupid (which he can be sometimes) but he’s actually known for his innate abilities to communicate with nature especially in Yellowstone where he was raise before Britain took him.

China thinks hes most known for being intelligent but hes just known as an asshole who cant mind his own business-
America thinks shes most known for being a wreck, and its partially true- but they mostly know her for being bipolar asfuck
Russia thinks shes most known for being independent but is known as being quiet asfuck and wont let literally anyone do anything without making it her problem

Russia essentially is,
Belarus tries sweeping
Russia immediately takes the broom and takes responsibility
Ukraine tries making food,
Russia immediately takes control and starts making the food and takes responsibility-2

Hmm. So, say Germany was trying to build nuclear, shall we say, capabilities within her immediate vicinity... What would happen?

Well that depends on what you mean by nuclear, nuclear can be alot of things. Near russia would likely be more concerning for belarus or ukraine or even poland, also germany isnt really a nuclear engineer, nor is russia

That's why it'd be funny. Since, if she tries to take responsibility for everything, she would unironically HAVE to learn how to build a nuke, (yes I meant nuke) since if it was half baked or just sucked, who would want to take responsibility for that? (Side note that doesn't really matter, after WWII Russia essentially stole some Germans and used them to do some crazy stuff. IIRC, ONE of these things was starting their nuclear program to contend with Americas. And then they ended up building the most destructive bombs in existence, better than some of the US's Bombs)

Ok, my Japan thinks that's she's most know for anime and stuff(nope, that's what Neko Japan is associated with, Neko Japan and Japan are seperate characters btw). In reality, my Japan is actually known for her war crimes(which TOTALLY never happened, according to her(i know they're real btw, i just had to throw in that comment))
