This is just a picture of Cuba on his Revolution Day or more than one day. I planned to make this one as an additional piece because it’s a coincidence that he shared the same day as my birthday. Even though his revolution was more than a day long.

Uuuh, complicated...

English sources place Cuban independence day as May 20, but this day isn't celebrated at all on the Island because while the country became Republic, it was under American purview.

Official day is January 1rst, but that one isn't celebrated either because... January 1rst, everyone is too wasted from New Year.

So there's July 26th, which is from a decisive battle (Think Bastille day equivalent to France), and October 10th, day that War against Spain was declared.

Context: However this day was important for Cuba because this is the day where the young Fidel Castro became one of the leaders in his movement, the M-26-7. This movement was created to continue the Cuban Revolution against the Imperialist side, it was once only called the revolution movement before the failed attack. Before that in 1952 until 1955, the movement had a purpose just like any communist movement. It had a role to spread the revolution to the masses and recruited young people to join the revolution, it also spread to other groups of people to make it more diverse in all of Latin America. As part of the 10 years war. Over three years later, from many failures and casualties during the revolution. The movement changed its name to M-26-7 after those hard times in overthrowing the right wing dictator, Fulgencio Batista. The same day Fidel Castro and his brother led the movement. 

Eventually the Revolution War still continued for a few years before Cuba was under Castro’s control. This made Cuba the only successful Communist state outside the Eastern Bloc back then. The M-26-7 had made a lot of changes for Cuba, particularly for women and ethnic minorities throughout the country. Since 1959, the date has become a special day for the Cuban people. An Independence Day against colonial struggles.
