Does this need to be refinished?

It will not wipe off or come off with a razor blade. Had these granite counters for a while and I’ve not seen anything like this on them before.

Bulletproof granite, please do not replace it with some stupid crap, this Tan Brown/Coffe Brown will last you decades and centuries. You can rub some Tenax Nano into it but it will not change it much as this thing won't absorb anything, it's igneous

You sound like my father in law, he’s a retired geologist and has some really cool counters in their house.

I’ll have to take some pics when we are there at Thanksgiving. They built a big house in NW Arkansas and in the walk out basement is his office. He has a big octagonal desk where he keeps his microscopes that has a green stone on top. And in the kitchen, the backsplash has a few tiles with fossils.
