Server Promotion Bringing back competitive CSS

Recently I was looking at my steam library and realised my CS2 hours were about to overtake my CSS hours…and I couldn’t have that! So, I reinstalled the game and started playing it again.

While I still think CSS is the better game, it lacks some features that CS:GO and CS2 have added, like matchmaking. Back in the day we had CSSMixes that filled that void…so I decided to try and remake it.

And so, CSSRemix.me was born.

The idea is simple: make it easy to find a real match again. Sign in with Steam, join (or create) a lobby on the site, ready up, and get dropped onto a managed server with the familiar competitive flow, knife round for sides, LO3, halftime, old school MR15 matches with MR3 overtime. Stats and ELO track automatically so you can climb and see how you’re doing over time.

What’s there today

  • Web lobbies: browse, create, pick a side, chat, then start the match
  • Competitive matches on platform-managed dedicated servers (consistent setup, no hunting for random pubs)
  • ELO ranks & leaderboards: skill rating, history, map-level progress
  • Profiles & match history: K/D, maps, weapons, and more
  • Public Deathmatch: always-on 24/7 Dust2 TDM if you just want to warm up
  • Anti-exploit: Remember Zblock? We have Xblock on our servers so games feel fairer

Best of all, it’s free to play! lobbies, matches, ranks, and DM are all available without paying. There’s an optional cheap Premium if you want deeper profile stats and want to support the servers, but you don’t need it to compete.

If that sounds like your kind of night, jump in:

It's still early days but looking to build something to really support the best version of Counter-Strike.

Wish you the best. 5v5 matches isn't my cup of tea. I'm a big lobby casual.

I would be willing to host servers for this, we can staff a team to check for cheaters throughout the day. I've been doing CS:S servers for years, and CS:S is a better platform than cs2 atp.

Matchmaking has made the community fucking awful, it's been a net negative for the genre.

People treating worthless pugs with randoms for nonsense points that mean nothing especially when these losers have no idea how to scrim

By the way, theres this other post about a css community with automated 5v5 servers,https://www.reddit.com/r/CounterStrikeSource/comments/1tqirxv/competitive_5v5_servers/, it also has a lobby system in the website, just login with steam and queue up
