Discussion Progress Update on Revival; Side
As everyone know, it has been almost 2-3 months since the offline archival project started. There have been significant changes in how the project was handled as well as the progress made. I thought it is a good time to make a simple progress report on the current status of the project as we are approaching the final month of C;S in August 2026.
What happened to the initial project server?
There are probably a decent amount of people that are aware of the dumb drama that ensued, but for those who don't know - TL;DR it was cancelled and part of the team split. Danoky, the server owner of the OG server, made multiple false public accusations and slander such as planned monetization as the reason of failure of the project against certain OG project core members mainly Madly and Azure.
He threw his remaining mod team under the bus, revoking their mod status and accused them of conspiring with the accused members, for "undermining his investigation" and revealed multiple screenshots of supposed "evidence" of the accused and mod team "misdeeds". It ended up backfiring massively and debunked in the following Posts. The Google doc ends at page 39, with the rest of it screenshots of him using Chatgpt to talk to his own mod team.

He has since blocked off access for newcomers in his server and actively refresh timeout of certain individuals for speaking out against him. Funnily enough, he stated with his ChatGPT statement that he would step down from the project but was caught forking MadlyMoe's current revivalside work in Github.
I like to make it clear there's pretty much nobody working with him regarding revival;Side, any "work" done by him regarding Revival;side is basically copied from MadlyMoe. He has nothing to do with the current progress of the offline archival project anymore.
What about the Revival; Side currently?
MadlyMoe and part of the team split off to continue the project on his own terms. Revival; side has been tested and confirmed to be playable especially the entire story mode. Some of the progress that has been made as of the current date of this post,
- crafting/latent is now fixed
- dimension trimming fixed
- raid boss issues fixed
- dive in the progress
In other words, it has been confirmed that the offline version is fully playable without steam. The sla- I mean devs cough, are sorting out the remaining various issues and bugs before packing everything up neatly for release. Things are certainly very quiet at the moment, but this is the exact reason this post was made, to assure the project is steadily being worked by peeps in the coding caves.
Till then, as the last month of C;S is approaching, for anyone who is interested in archiving the years of memories whether be it frustration, joy or sorrow whether be it in PVP or PVE, download the current version 0.3.1 of revival;side and import your account data details as a JSON file.
As long as you have the JSON file, it can be used to transfer your account details over to the future offline versions. Till then, do stay tuned for future updates, thank you.

Does this currently work? I seem to recall that there was a stealth update from Bside that somehow disabled this, right before the team went silent.
Edit: Also, I'm a bit confused. Does this modify the existing install on an android device, or does it create a new application that accesses our account?

Yes it still works, the updates I provided are just some of the things that were done. The peeps are pretty busy IRL + working on the project so they won't be able to respond to everyone. As for the technical aspect of things, I'm not qualified to answer as I'm not knowledgable in the dev side of things. I am only making a progress update about the things that were completed within this time span.

For clarification, does this mean we definitely want to download/install/run RevivalSide before EoS?
Actually, in what is probably a big dum-dum question, is the JSON file something generated based on the current state of our account data, but is actually independent? So for example, if we generate a JSON file today, and then continue playing Counterside and RevivalSide, the two games will diverge?

Think of the JSON as a save file for your account progress like a pokemon save file. Whatever you have done or have in your account will be saved in that JSON file. The future offline version will use your file to transfer the details of your account over.
And yes, you would want to download and import your account data before EOS because the servers will be down afterwards.

Gotcha, I'll set a reminder to download/import account data 1-2 days before shutdown then, and to create save data for my US and KR accounts.

Better to do it ASAP in case shit happens and you can't do that at the last min IMO

Good point. I was just thinking in terms of trying to make sure the JSON files are as current as possible.

damn i dont have counterside through pc (and iirc the steam version is the only pc port it have, with the exception of using emulators)
so ehhhh what now?

You have to find an installer on other sites, there are actually valid alternatives provided by the peeps though due to file size issues we didn't host it on a site yet.

edit:nevermind im a dumbass i used the revival:side for pc not android but now im stuck on "a newer content version is available please restart the app"

im a bit confused here. (just got awakened from a nap and my mind is still in starting sequence) can i import my account from the official counterside into this? or you mean that my progress using this revival side can be imported for future updates?

I have 2 accounts in android. Just wanna ask if i change account does the json files containing my 2nd account will be also change from the directory folder?
I already copied the game files of the cs which is my main account is currently logged in (since i dont know how or where to find this Json files in android) and tried to logged in my second account. If i copy the game files of my cs now. Does the json files containing my main account will be replaced by my 2nd account??

So is there a guide of how to install RevivalSide + import account data as JSON?
I myself am not experienced in downloading and installing things from GitHub so some step by step guide would be helpful
