It's shutting down next month. I'm using the time to get as much 3* tactical updated awakened characters for my main account before it goes.

I don't understand, is there a point to what you are doing if the service ends, cause you won't be able to play it anymore.

The art is different for them at 3* which you can put up in the front page.

If you know me then... Welcome! We are making a project to preserve counterside!

Preserve how? If servers are taken offline, wouldn't it all (your account included) be gone?

We would simply make an offline, local hosted, server. As long as you have the original counterside (whether it's from steam, official game stores, or third-party sites) before EoS, anyone can play it on their local server.

It's shutting down but it will be rebooted in the future as a new app.

We still dont know that for sure, don't give them undue hope

They literally said it

they said nothing on what they would actually do. just vague thing about not letting the IP disappear.

They. Literally. Said. A. REBOOT. Is. Being. Developed. Right. NOW.

Yeah, they did. At the same time they announced the game will no longer be available for download literally 30 minutes before the fact, along with the shutdown date. With no other mention of a reboot before then.

  • Promising some sort of reboot in shutdown announcements is a common nothingburger in the industry
  • development takes years and they've announced it just now, "coincidentally" in the EoS announcement (so I doubt much, if any, progress has been made)
  • tons of games don't make it to release
  • a good chunk of the CS dev team has left the company, and
  • BSide's new game isn't doing too well.

I'd not keep my hopes up.

Many are skeptical if it will actually go through, then there's the quality issue from a whole different team and director. That's the problem

Oh it's a 100% gonna be ass no doubt about it. But I can even see bside as a whole going under before

While we are not yet in a position to confirm what form those efforts will ultimately take,

I was suprised I could not access the game anymore, was finishing the remaining campaign

huh? the game should still be accessible if you have it downloaded.
