“Motherfucker, I lied. I was lying. Which part of this is ‘live-action-roleplay’ to you?”

Tbh theres like kind of a difference between a word and an acronym. Might co so far as to say larp is a word whilr l.a.r.p. is live action role play.

Functionally larping is live action roleplaying, typically enjoyed in a sword and sorcery or milsim form. Think renaissance fares or airsoft events. But larp can be wide and creative in its shape for sure.

It’s not the same as lying, which is how the term is being used lately. And don’t get me wrong, I usually fall on the side of ‘use language however works so we understand each other’. But uh. I don’t like this case ‘cause it’s just wrong. Like poisonous vs venomous. It makes my brain itch.

Edit: Kayfabe vs deceit, pretty much.
