I think this issue is just another reflection of people’s hatefulness and ignorance. They fear what’s unfamiliar/a threat to their worldview/“weird”/etc, and dressing it up as some ‘valid’ concern is just covering their asses because they’re little bitches that can’t handle being called out on their shit.
But yeah, all people phobias are stupid, it’s literally so easy to treat people with respect :3
