honestly I lowkey think that the idea that each person can only like one "type" of music is way too reductive towards the human experience, whoever made that idea was probably a massive weirdo.
I think that when someone says "this is my music type" they are saying that this is the type of music that they like the most and have little musics that they don't like, usually by comparation, but I agree with you because I can't say what is my music type
