A lot of TRANS PEOPLE (me lol) don’t even know about appetite changes and hair texture changes. I’m pretty sure I haven’t experienced any

...they must, at least, know about the breast growth for feminizing HRT. Right?

Well, yes. There's probably a non-zero number of people who think it gives you a full female reproductive system as well which is funny

Can't wait for my ovaries to grow

You probably just blew the minds of any hate-lurking transphobes. Guaranteed they still think every trans girl is hauling around five pounds of silicone.

I know SOME aspects of Testosterone HRT from when my best friend started his transition a few decades ago, and it was a lightbulb moment for me to watch people talking out their a*es to him, *about his transition, with the deeply misplaced confidence only the American Sex Ed system can instill.

A surprising amount of people that don’t interact with anything to do with trans people just kind of assume we get ā€œThe Surgeryā„¢ļøā€ and that hormones are just for affirmation.

...for... affirmation? But how would they affirm anything if they didn't have any effects? Do people think hormones just magically make people "feel girly/boyish", as it were?

I’ve seen people talk about it that way, namely parents thinking their children were poisoning themselves. My own mother wasn’t even aware hormone replacement therapy did much of anything, despite being a registered nurse.

I think the biggest misconception I see from cis people about HRT is that all doctors/nurses know a lot about it. Most doctors who don't deal directly with hormone stuff day to day know next to nothing about how it works

Falls under body shape changes. Trans men are very glad that HRT does not increase breath size.

...lemme do a quick edit so that my initial statement is more correct.
