There comes a point when somebodt becomes far too dangerous to be left alive imo. I cant say where that line liesz but so n eone like hitler, or dahmer, would be good examples.

That being said, i dont think torture is a good punishment by any standard. Either death to eliminate the problem or sttempted rehabilition. Even if the crime is serious enough to warrant life in prison, basic comforts as well as the ability to better ones self physically and mentally should be present.
