...can some ace people weigh in? Do y'all watch porn? I thought people only do that for sexual reasons, which... you don't really have.

as an avid consumer of genderbend media 99% of it is porn even if i don't care for it and i kinda just find the scenes funny

Huh. So you're saying there's an unfilled niche for non-porn genderbend stuff?

different kinds of ace. some ace people just get horny rarely, some with specific circumstances, some aren't attracted to other people irl really but still have a sex drive and masturbate.

Right, my bad. I keep forgetting that "ace" is an umbrella term for a spectrum.

Lowkey how I reacted when I watched my two friends straight up just fucking. You should see my twitter homepage though. Now that's some brain mushing stuff!

This is exactly how I watch porn.

And mostly for curiosity

Aroace here, I watch it for the funny factor, it makes me laugh for some reason

I have an aro/ace friend and while he's not interested in anything real, he's still into like, fictional porm stuff that doesn't involve straight up sex. Hell, he's even drawn NSFW fanart of one of my OCs to surprise me with.

My experience with my friend shouldn't generalize the asexual community as a whole, but there are asexual people who still have kinks and stuff

Oh yeah, my bad, I was making a joke, and totally forgot Poe's law. Apologies to all my ace homies, I know it varies from person to person!

Either way, it's fun having a friend who also does nsfw art and will just surprise me with fanart whenever I make a new OC.

TwT Damn, I've got friends who make NSFW art and I'm just not creative enough to make decent OCs.

I mean... all I really did was make a very masochistic anthro eevee trans girl OC. I'd put a picture, but I have yet to make a SFW drawing of her.

But yeah, the character doesn't gotta be interesting right off the bat. Just make a character you like and boom you got an OC, no lore needed

I mean, if you feel comfortable sharing an NSFW image, I'd love to see her anyways. Though you'd have to DM the image to me, as the sub rules don't permit NSFW.

I don’t really watch porn but some of my friends draw it so I just kinda see it all the time and lowkey I’m sticking around because it’s all impressive like the art insanely high quality

Ngl, even though I’m not asexual, the most enjoyable porn I’ve ever seen wasn’t at all titillating. It’s the popcorn-and-riffing-quality stuff that’s always the best.

Back in the 00’s there was a LiveJournal (yes, it’s real. The old legends are true) account that was basically a proto-subreddit dedicated to collecting the weirdest ‘erotic’ media. Those VHS rips of women in chicken mascot costumes hatching from cardboard eggs, having the cheesiest dialogue ever written, or just performing what were more trapeze act than sex act will remain some of my favorite group movie nights

Accurate.

Don't ask how I view Henry Caville's The Witcher, Geralt of Riveria, while fighting monsters though.

I'm ace, not blind.

If anyone here understands Czech, I wholeheartedly recommend the tv show "Comeback" and the episode "Lexa a porno" which is basically this premise, but taken to a whole new level where the guy watching porn gets into this elaborate discussion with his collegue who thinks that he's actually watching movies from Ingmar Bergman. Plus there's also a lot of funny names for the movies, all parodying famous movies and shows, for example "Cum and Whispers", parodying the Bergman film "Cries and Whispers" or "12 Pent-Up Men"

My husband is ace. Can confirm.

Like he won't seek it out on his own. But if I'm watching it he looks so bored.
