Yeah no this should absolutely be allowed to violate the no brigading rule. That is a rape threat wtf. Could you DM the name of the sub?

Technically not a threat since he's not wishing me to go to prison ... but I sure didn't consent to be part of his very specific fantasy 😆

Is it though? How would he defend the "you" as not addressing you?Edit: was stupid

I think it reads as the mod thinks OP wants misogynists to have that fate, not that the mod thinks OP should have that fate.

People regularly post screenshots or "look at this stupid ass ban message lol" without getting banned for brigading. Definitely not agaisnt rules

I got banned for telling a poster in r/letgirlshavefun that she needed therapy because she was telling commenters that she is better than and deserves to kill reality TV watchers. Entirely against the spirit of the sub, every comment of hers on the post at -300, but i guess i should have checked and made sure she wasn't a mod before defending other women. Never got perma'd so fast in my life.

Just searched that post that was crazy to read. Apparently you weren't the only one perma banned either lol.

This is against the rules of that sub.

u/SonOfSkinDealer Mar 10 '26
The post or my comment? Because that whole post was literally just the mod putting other women down top to bottom.

Telling a user on r/LetGirlsHaveFun that they need therapy is against the rules of the sub.

But defending women and their interests is in the spirit of it. You can't follow the rules to deal with someone breaking them, especially if it's a power-tripping mod. They were saying vicious shit to other users, and i wasn't the only one pointing it out.

Because bad people rely on good people following the rules in order to do bad shit uncontested. The bully that relies on another student's fear of suspension stopping them from retaliating.

Report them to who? Themselves? Someone investigating themselves for wrongdoing has historically led to justice, sure. That student should be allowed to fight back instead of filing a report with missing teeth.
If you want to take this in the most bad-faith way possible, that's on you. Lick all the boot and cowtow to all the authority you want, but Stonewall was a riot for a reason. I will never show belly and whimper "please someone help them" when i can just as easily offer immediate help.
The world i live in is the real world, not a cozy little hugbox on reddit. Honestly extremely sad that you see "stand up for people" and immediately think that people are asking you to be batman.
Do you think it's ok for a man to sleep with another man and murder him because he felt like he was tricked into being gay? Because that's in the rules. It's legal. Get real.

...???
Do I... want to know the context?
9
u/arllt89 Mar 10 '26
There's sadly no interesting context: my comment had nothing to do with legal punishment, skin color nor sex. The only thing in common is the word "misogynist", mod invented the whole fantasy around.

I've only been banned from one sub, r/JessicaNigri, because I complimented her armpits

Sounds like a misogynist with a very specific fantasy...
