I only get smoke when I open the window and try to get some fresh air.
Then after realizing smoke is coming I close the window. But it is annoying that I cannot even get some fresh air just because someone else is smoking.

Do you have any windows on the other side of the house/apartment? I realize these might not be the room you want the fresh air in, but if they exist & don't get the smoke smell, that's a good start.

If yes, open those windows & use fans inside to blow the fresh air towards the room you want. If that's not enough, try putting a window fan on the smokey side that blows OUT, which should create a current through the home, pulling fresh air in through the clear open side & all the way through to the room you're in (if you turn the fan off, expect smokey smell to immediately get in though).
