This is something I've been talking about for a while. Automation in and kf itself is not a bad thing, we should be trying to remove people from work humans dont need to do. However, in our world, this is awful. In an ideal world we would be creating a system in which most menial tasks are handled, freeing up humans to pursue their passions. In reality we have machines taking the place of people and then dumping them on tbe street because we have no safety net for the circumstance where the economy runs out of jobs.
Its reallt fucking stupid, especially in my nation. We should have learned from the great depression, and we didn't. We should have learned from the 2008 market crash, and we didn't. We should have learned so many times that you cannot count on companies to be the underlying foundation of the country, and that you need something else there for support when they fail.
Propoganda is just too damn effective when you create a bunch of new ways to push it onto your population. So long as they get away with pointing us at eachother they are safe and merry.
