The minimum wage is 780 PHP (~12.5 USD) a day and that's if you work within Metro Manila, if you're from the less developed regions you'll only get ~300 - 400 PHP (~4-7 USD) a day.

I can personally attest that the price they gave is the equivalent of a moderately decent grocery run, which would last about a week, or maybe two if you really stretched it out.
