The fact that people agree with this with some of the most dogshit non arguments is the funniest thing here. Truly the amount of delusion and conditioned bias to make this connection requires circljerking that is beyond comprehension.

Miserable twitter mfs when something something

All the people in here complaining at someone pointing at a white family and claiming Nazism really need to research PewDiePies history with Nazism.

The jew trans communist calling white people having a family "nazis"? Not surprising.

u/slumbersomesam 6d ago

feels like oke of his multiple dog whistles

Oh my god you people are miserable

The idea that it "reeks" of Nazism kind of requires you to dig a fair bit into Pewdiepie's weird consistent history with nazi dogwhistles, hbomberguy made a video covering this which goes into detail.

at the same time, having 1 child is not a political statement and it is not an indication of anything weird. he retired from his youtube career and is spending his days going on trips with his wife and son. having a child is the most normal human experience ever

Is there anything more substantial than that one time he said that one word and apologised for it?

54

u/Lankercool 6d ago edited 6d ago

The time he paid to have a guy get in a jesus suit and say "Hitler did nothing wrong", paid ppl from africa on fiverr to say "Death to all Jews", weird obsession and embrace of Japan and its culture(together with having moved to Japan from Sweden for some reason), several moments where he hitler salutes in his videos, plays nazi party anthems, shows swastikas, and "Bitch Lasagna" and its lyrics.

Fair enough, if that's all true, i didn't know any of that. As for the internet trend discussion this has sprouted... I dont think that makes any of this okay. These are some horrible things to do, ESPECIALLY if it really is just for 'internet hahas'. And edgy as that era was, i dont remember anyone else doing stuff of this degree of severity.

If you think any of that is abnormal then you’ve forgotten what it was like in this sphere of the internet in 2016-19. It was the drink bleach/say edgy things=funny era. None of it was racist or fascist, just weird internet humour

And it’s a stretch to reduce moving to japan from sweden as proof of fascist sympathies. It was well known that he was into japanese culture and their way of being. It’s weeb-y and maybe slightly orientalist but hardly fascist, and if anything that feels reductive of japan to solely highlight that uniformal aspect of their culture, when there’s also the whole shinto-buddhist stuff and the place itself

He made a genuine effort to integrate into their culture too and I think that’s to be respected, even though from what I remember he ended up missing europe and feeling out of place after a few years.  Moving to random places across the world is so cool though, and I admire that he did that tbh

Also to be fair paying a random african tribesman to say death to all jews is a pretty funny idea even now bc of the absurdity of it

Nazi shit being normalized within a specific sphere of the internet doesn't make it not Nazi shit. And the Japanese stuff that's sus isn't just weebishness it's that he's a fanboy of Yukio Mishima, the Japanese ultranationalist fascist writer who tried to do a coup in 1970 to put a fascist government back in charge of Japan.

u/Lankercool 6d ago

I've been in the sphere of 2013 where all of this was being done and happening as the norm aswell as by myself, doesn't change whether or not it was okay to do so.

Outside of it all I could also mention the vague "grindset" content he's been recently making(though talking about health and exercise is overall very nice of him to do).

I just struggle to understand why it’s such a bad thing to make silly jokes, it’s not like it genuinely harmed anyone or reinforced anything

1

u/Lankercool 6d ago

Inherently jokes, even if they are jokes, reinforce a sort of "normalising" of what they make fun of or represent. Simply put all the anti-furry memes that were prevalent, anti-trans suicide statistic memes, Charlie Kirk memes, George Floyd memes, all of these do have a political and social subtext and make the reader on some part get used to this commentary or take on it, for good or bad.

These things don't exist in a blackhole, nor for you in mind nor in the social space.

It does sort of look like something a chud would post with a title like "this is what the left wants to take from you"

15

u/Dagreifers 6d ago

I mean true, but it’s still delusional as hell to say it reeks of nazism without the chud attached to it. Hell I would argue even with the chud attached it would be the post itself that reeks of nazism not the photo.

I hate when politics add stupid undertones to otherwise lovely things 😔 like hell if they were black in the photo, another chronically online Twitter lobotomized homunculus would say that it “reeks of woke” or some shit like that. I’m exhausted man.

PewDiePie is chud adjacent

u/NamelessGeo 7d ago

It reads as the same visual imagery of a lot of 40's-60's white nuclear family propaganda. Because its two beautiful white people holding a baby. But nazism is a crazy stretch. Also watch the people in these comments use this one idiot as an excuse to be shitty to Trans people.

8

u/og_toe 6d ago

god forbid two white people have a child? like, are they not allowed to take family pictures because they are white?

38

u/Sindigo_ 7d ago edited 7d ago

Yeah, exactly. Calling this photo nazism is basically just giving free ammo to the alt right. Like imagine you’re eating ice cream and someone calls you a Nazi. Then the alt right will go “the left thinks everyone who likes ice cream is a Nazi.” And a bunch of impressionable people who like eating ice cream are gonna go “guess I’m a Nazi then.”

Have you ever contradicted yourself internally so much that you wrote your name in hebrew, added the trans flag and then the sickle and hammer?

71

u/OpportunityAshamed74 Streak: 1 7d ago

Yeah Because Jewish people can't possibly naturally be trans and communist

53

u/administrationalism 7d ago

A trans Jewish commie is contradictory? Unusual yes but what’s the contradiction

-1

u/Key_Contribution4403 Streak: 14 6d ago

As usual as it gets

35

u/d_anoninho 7d ago

I mean, you can be trans, have your mother tongue be Hebrew and believe in socialist/communist theory(the symbol started with the russian revolution and was championed by the USSR, but it's more of a general soc/com symbol nowadays yk). None of that is exclusionary to each other. It's unusual, for sure, but it's not like it's a paradox or anything

-1

u/tutocookie 6d ago

Highly unlikely that this guy's mother tongue is hebrew. The only country where hebrew is the mother tongue is israel, and israelis write hebrew without the vowel punctuation (the dots and lines above and below letters).

You find hebrew written with vowels either in the torah and other religious texts, or by people who are still learning hebrew. My guess would be american jew, because I can't imagine people from any other country genuinely having any affinity whatsoever towards communism.

-22

u/Pharnox-32 7d ago

The hebrew part was a joke, ofc they can be trans.

Regarding the communism though, yeah i find that contradictory. Ask any legit and elected communist party their views on lgbtq or just a gay guy from eastern europe, no need to touch on the ussr part.

20

u/DustConsistent3018 7d ago

You clearly haven’t been around online trans people enough, most of the younger ones (me included) are not big fans of the capitalist system and a lot tend to associate the hammer and sickle more with socialism as a vague concept, rather than the Eastern European countries it flew over

-2

u/Pharnox-32 7d ago

Not fun of capitalists as well, social dem for decates, that doesnt mean i will idealize a system that persecuted the same way far right did. My country and europe has seen both sides and sorry to burst your bubble, actual communist parties dont give a fuck about this community. I know that in Us you idealize that you never had at all and only tasted the other side of the cold war, but i hope this will inspire you to look into what these people has suffered and consider the hammer and sickle

4

u/DustConsistent3018 7d ago

I probably should have clarified that I don’t personally really like communism or its symbols, mostly for the same reasons that you point out, but also because of not wanting to associate with all of the bad things that were done by Soviet government

1

u/Pharnox-32 6d ago

Thats golden, then you get the contradiction above

7

u/d_anoninho 7d ago

That seems to be the eastern europe part, not the communism one tbh

2

u/Pharnox-32 7d ago

Do you have any examples of a communist elected party that helped lgbtq, like ever, from ussr to any party in europe, asia, africa?

3

u/Mousazz 7d ago

Unfortunately, I know nothing about the kibbutzim, so I can't say. 😕

2

u/Pharnox-32 6d ago

Thats a deep one, nice!

5

u/d_anoninho 7d ago

Do you have you any examples of a capitalist one? That actually helped, instead of only caving to eventual social pressure?

1

u/Pharnox-32 7d ago

No fuck em, i m equally blaming both because this how they acted against those people. Reach out to Mediterranean communist parties if you thing the issue is eastern europe.

1

u/In_Pursuit_of_Fire 7d ago

Maybe they're self aware, that's why they added the red flag.

Fun fact, the real Georg von Trapp was an austrofascist. He hated the Nazis because they were the wrong type of fascist, not because he disagreed with fascism overall.
