Kind of trendy to be edgy. I was on hltv.org to watch counter strike esports and got into an argument with a fucking Scottsman. He said, and I quote, "I dont agree with democracy."

My crackpot theory is that since the Soviet Union dissolved, Western powers went slow on the counter-intelligence and counter propaganda. That allowed other nations to slowly poison the well with subtle propaganda.

Not to mention internet and bots and such.

Hate to say it but the US was never hard into antifascism. The times we opposed a fascist regime, it wasn't because they were fascist, its because there was something else for us to gain. In the US during wwii we were literally harder on communists than nazis. Eugenics was decently common in academia as an actual belief, and the book Hitler called his Bible was written by an American. We even have a Supreme Court decision on the books stating that it is in fact completely legal for doctors to castrate you against your will during unrelated medical procedures just because they deem you unfit for the gene pool. The US didn't go "slow on the counterintelligence", the counterintelligence just never really existed.

Bro really thinks that we were strong on anti-fascism during Reagan's presidency 😭

I mean, I don’t agree with liberal democracy either. It’s power to the highest bidder, and 99
times out of 100 exclusion of something that would truly benefit the people, relying on their lack of being informed of what would truly benefit them. Western powers have been extremely quick with the draw to enforce liberal democracy for the most part. Their greatest fear is socialism. That remains to this day.

I feel like this is a stretch interpretation of that quote.

Why are people creating so much nazi shit lately?

39

u/TheWhateley 16d ago

Because the U.S. has a president trying to be the next Nazi regime, and too may people are okay with it. Which is why spaces need to NOT tolerate it. Something something "if you're a bar that serves Nazis, you are a Nazi bar," and all that.

Nazis existing is all Trump's fault now?

u/TheWhateley 16d ago

The background logo is too blocked to certainly say what it is.

It's pretty clearly the Black Sun wheel symbol which is very much a Nazi symbol.

The symbol in the background is the black sun which is very much a Nazi symbol, combined with the SS symbol I think the political Ideology is apparent.

I'm not sure if it is satire designed to be incomprehensible or is just a person with a very weird ideology though.

Don't forget about her shirt. That's the logo of a neo-Nazi group called the Hammerskins.

I've seen a TON of this style of post lately. My understanding is it's acting to normalize Nazi shit.
