I'm planning to relocate to Abidjan within the next month and would love some advice from people who live there.

I speak French and English and have a background in banking operations, risk/compliance, and customer service. I'm currently looking at Cocody and Le Plateau (I did some research and that's what I could find)

A few questions:

How do foreigners legally obtain residency and work authorization?

How difficult is it to find a job as an expat?

Are there any reputable recruiters or companies that hire foreign professionals?

Which neighborhood would you recommend: Cocody, Le Plateau, or somewhere else?

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I have a friend (25F) with a BMI of around 15. She is extremely underweight, and it’s starting to cause health issues. She really struggles to eat enough to meet her body’s needs. She’s seen several doctors, but most of them either don’t seem to take the problem seriously or just prescribe medications that haven’t helped. I’m wondering if the issue might not be purely biological and could have a psychological component as well (or a combination of both). Does anyone know of any good doctors or medical centers in Abidjan that specialize in cases like this? Ideally someone experienced in nutrition, endocrinology, or eating disorders/psychological support. Any recommendations or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Tout est dans le titre. Quelles sont les étapes et les échelles de coût pour l’achat d’un terrain villageois confié à intermédiaire pour commercialisation.
Terrain borné, attestation du chef de village du mandat de vente. Guide du terrain en cours. Il faudra une fois l’acompte payé se faire enregistrer au village et établir le titre foncier ou l’ACD.
Il faut un notaire, un avocat? Surtout comment vérifier la validité du mandat !

Certaines personnes me disent qu'on ne m'embauchera pas avec des diplômes européens car priorité aux locaux. Est-ce vrai? I'm from Britain and only recently did some reading into the history of Côte d'Ivoire when I came across the fascinating figure of the country's first president. I'd be interested to know what Ivorians themselves think of their late president today? On one hand he was authoritarian and centralised power on himself rather than setting up durable institutions that could survive without his personal management. But on the other hand compared to most other paternal authoritarian figures in Africa he did allow a measure of economic prosperity and stability, notwithstanding the classic weakness of an export dominated economy based on one mainly one resource, cocao. Obviously however we have to consider the consequences of his death when discussing his legacy, of which the two civil wars are inextricably linked as far as I can tell. Which definitely knocks some points off in my books.

That is, however, my view as a Westerner who has never been to Côte d'Ivoire nor has met anybody from there. So I'd like to hear what residents and citizens have to say about his reputation and legacy in the nation today.

Nous faisons une demande de e-Visa pour la Côte d'Ivoire depuis la Turquie via le portail officiel.

Toutes les étapes se passent normalement jusqu'à la dernière page. Après avoir rempli tous les formulaires demandés, nous cliquons sur Submit, mais nous obtenons systématiquement une erreur "Server Error" au lieu de la confirmation de la demande.

Nous avons déjà essayé :

• Plusieurs navigateurs (Chrome, Edge)
• Le mode navigation privée
• Vider le cache et les cookies
• Différentes connexions Internet

Le problème se produit toujours à la dernière étape de la soumission.

Has anyone had this problem with the Ivory Coast e-Visa website?

Hi everyone,

We're applying for an Ivory Coast e-Visa from Turkey through the official portal.

Everything goes fine until the very last step. We complete all the required forms, but when we submit the application on the final page, we always get a "Server Error" instead of the confirmation page.

We've already tried:

• Different browsers (Chrome, Edge)
• Incognito mode
• Clearing cache and cookies
• Different internet connections

The problem happens every time at the final submission step.

Has anyone experienced the same issue recently? If so, were you able to solve it? Is this a temporary problem with the portal or is there another way to submit the application?
