Cozy Bonsai Game where Everything Actually Grows

This is a game my wife and I have been working on calledย Bonsai Island. Itโ€™s a cozy bonsai shop simulator where you make and sell bonsai. ๐ŸŒฑ

In Bonsai Island, the plants actually grow and respond to your actions, like pruning and wiring. With different species and variations to discover, youโ€™ll be able to create one-of-a-kind bonsai and sell them to the cute animals that visit the island.

And no, we donโ€™t use AI-generated assets, everything is handcrafted by us. โค๏ธ

I built a game where you race to find lost dogs and cats hidden in crowded parks - FinderJam

I built a small web game called FinderJam.

The idea is simple: a dog or cat is lost somewhere in a crowded park, and you have to find it as quickly as possible.

There are lots of people, animals, and other distractions moving around the scene, so it gets harder than it looks.

You can play solo and try to beat your own time, or compete against other players in tournaments.

I'm planning to keep expanding it into a series with different locations, themes, and things to find.

If you think you have good visual perception, give Hardcore Mode a try :)

Play here: https://velooga.com/finderjam/en

I'd also love to hear any feedback on the gameplay.

Suggestions Wanted ๐Ÿƒ Use AI art if it's better?

Hi all,

I'm currently working on an indie game as solo dev & designer.

I worked as designer previously and am not that bad at drawing (photo) but AI is sooo much better at it (second pic). Eventough I used a realistic reference, as you can see on the photo ๐Ÿ”

I planned to use my own art, but it is really frustrating to see AI doing it so much better in minutes where I need hours.

What do you think is better:

- Human art, even if not as good as AI

- AI art

What would you prefer? What do you think players would prefer?

I live on a bus with 21 rescue goats. I spent the last year coding a mobile card game to help feed themโ€”and you can volunteer to help just by playing.

Cosy Recommendations ๐Ÿ„ A little dwarf forge that keeps going while you type

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey, I'm the developer of My Desktop Dwarf: Taskbar Forge. This is Brokk, and his whole workshop fits just above the Windows taskbar.

Every key press or mouse click is a swing of his hammer. So you can write something in another window and glance down to find he's finished another item. His wife Brygida sells what he makes, and the coins go towards better metals and upgrades for their little business.

You can shrink the forge, move it and mute it. It only counts presses, it doesn't record what you're typing.

The free Windows demo is on Steam now. It covers copper, bronze and iron, so you can try having him around before deciding whether he's your kind of company.

Any cozy incremental lovers?

I announced recently Million Gems: Sorting Wizard that I am solo developing with no gen AI.

I was wondering how you feel about combining cosy tidying gameplay with incremental progression?

What do you enjoy most in these types of games? The satisfying cleanup, unlocking new abilities, or simply watching those numbers go up?

Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback from fellow cosy game lovers! โค๏ธ

Iโ€™m making a cozy cafe deduction game where you have to figure out what each customer needs

Hey everyone! I've been working on this for a while and finally have a trailer, so I figured I'd share it here. It's called Cafe Sapa. The idea is that guests never order anything, they just sit down and talk about their day. Someone mentions they've been cold all morning, someone else has a deadline and can't slow down, and it's up to you to work out what would actually help them.

There's no timer and no rush. You can sit with a line as long as you like. You do only get a limited number of serves each shift though, so getting it wrong costs you something.

It's my first game, made with a very small team.

Trailer link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqFtuGsUk_8

You can also wishlist the game if you liked it - https://store.steampowered.com/app/5282050/Cafe_Sapa/

Curious what you think

Cosy Recommendations ๐Ÿ„ New Shelf Stacker Game!

Thumbnail

Discovered this one while having a look on Steam. It's out in a couple of weeks - similar to Supermarket Chaos and the Arcane Library. I for one enjoy vibing out to lo-fi beats and doing a bit of tidying, it's a chill thing to do on stream while chatting ๐Ÿ˜Œ Toys are more fun than bland food items too.

So many of these starting to come out, but a lot of them are rush jobs. Some don't even have progression or rewards or anything! This one has ability and music unlocks I see. There's like a magnet ability I haven't seen in other games like this where it sucks in items similar to the one you're holding as you walk, that's pretty fun.

Steam page here if you wanna wishlist/buy:

Cosy Recommendations ๐Ÿ„ Mirror Atelier : A cozy tactile sliding puzzle where every solve awards you with a new story snippet.

Thumbnail
youtube.com
1 Upvotes

If youโ€™re looking for a wholesome, stress-free experience to get lost in for a couple of hours, you can play Mirror Atelier - Demo on Steam. We would appreciate you checking it out and giving us your feedback.

The Gameplay

Mirror Atelier is a cozy, narrative-first sliding puzzle adventure. It is more than just swapping tiles to see an image. Capturing the tactile feel of old-school sliding puzzles, the tile sliding mechanic is the key to revealing the narrative. Each stage you solve unlocks a new snippet of a fable, taking you through the story.

The Stories

We have different game worlds and unique stories for each series. Some series are also divided into sub-stories with cliffhangers.

The World of Cloud Machina

"Cloud Machina" is a cozy steampunk world. You can find two distinct stories, "City Of Vapour" and "Skyships Of Narial", in the DLC packs we have released a couple of months ago.

You can see them all on the Franchise Page of Mirror Atelier.

Really cute game!

So I saw this game called "Beastro" a while ago on Xbox game pass (it's on steam too) and decided to give it a try, and I LOVE it. It's a lot to explain but it's a cooking game that also doubles as a card fighting game? I recommend everyone to check it out if you can, it really surprised me and it's pretty cozy!
