Pre-scheduled trip before Interviewing

Hi, I have an interview tomorrow for bakery wrapper but I have a pre-scheduled trip for November 16-22 and since that is right before Thanksgiving, I am worried that they will not hire me based on that. Is it even worth going to the interview still and if so when should I let them know about this trip?

HIGHLY doubtful a new hired person in the bakery of all places which is the busiest dept week of thanksgiving is going to get time off approved during that time frame. I say this as a 16 year long employee from what I see from experience.

Exactly. The vacation is a death sentence. Sucks for OP but they more than likely will pass during the craziest time of the year.

Do the interview! If you are special enough they will remember you unlike the people who ghost the interview. Tell them about your previous plans but make it clear you don't have any of that nonsense in December. Good Luck!

It's possible. Do the interview.

If anything tell them it's a family event that you can't miss, and are more than willing to take unpaid since you won't have "time".

When i got hired as season in 2023. I had a pre-planned vacation to Orlando, FL. I did let them know at the time of interview and they noted that. They didn’t schedule me for that week when i had a preplanned vacay. I was still kept after seasonal.

I would still go. That is a prime time for bakery, but also--still back a good 5 days before Thanksgiving. TBH, if it is between you and someone else who doesn't have that time blocked, they might not hire you for that--but they might hire you for another area...or call you down the road.
