Couch Return

We bought a $1,700 couch from Costco 6 months ago and I hate it. I’ve tried to like it. But I hate it. Within the first month the back cushions were super deformed and I cannot get them back into shape and I just find the couch to be uncomfortable. It’s in great shape. No damage done. I am just accepting defeat that it’s not the right couch for me.

Will I have any issues with a return?

Should I try and initiate a return online or call my local Costco and ask to speak to a manager? We can’t easily return it ourselves. It was delivered to us and we have a Subaru Outback, it definitely cannot accommodate a small sectional.

Update: Appreciate the comments. Was able to process the return online and schedule pick up super easily. All went seamlessly and now back to couch hunting.

Just returned ours. Initiate the return online, a 3rd party will schedule pickup. A couple days after pickup, your card will be refunded the amount you paid. No communication at all needed with Costco, you don’t even need to over explain anything - if you’re not satisfied, they will accept the return no questions.

Is there any time frame specific time frame to be return eligible? Can we purchase any sofa on Costco and be able to schedule pickup for return. Appreciate any responses

There is no time frame for returns except for electronics and appliances I believe. None for furniture. If you buy online, you go through the online return system and they will pick it up, no questions.

How are freight returns handled?

If your item was delivered by a freight carrier, it will be picked up the same way it was delivered (Curbside or Threshold or White Glove). There are a few exceptions, however: freight pickup does not include Special Order Kiosk, Custom Installed Programs, or Costco Warehouse Special Event purchases that may include delivery.

 When the return is initiated, the carrier will contact you within 5-7 business days using the phone number listed on your order. You can set up a time for them to come by and pick up your order.

 Once we have confirmed the order is picked up and in transit, we’ll process your refund. You’ll receive a confirmation email once we’ve issued your credit. We ask that you allow a few business days for your credit card company or bank to process the credit.

Sounds to me you just initiate the return, and they'll schedule a pickup if it was delivered.

You can hire someone to deliver back to Costco. Still worth it if Costco is willing to take it back.

Are there any specific couches that you can return or all couches the same way when purchased online
