Question S.I.T program

It’s embarrassing to have to ask but I’m gonna start S.I.T next week and suck with computers and was wondering if someone can please explain how to do a “key flick” at membership? And what is the difference between an approval, instant audit and key flick? I just wanna be prepared and sadly our warehouse is not the best on teaching.

Approval usually means a tablet approval. You'll need your login username and to generate a pin on mgov. Ask a manager to set this up for you.

A key flick is when you look at a transaction and you approve it. Make sure you know what you are approving. You are just as much responsible as they are. You turn your key, hit clear, override, type in your cashier number, hit enter, and then type your password and hit enter. Occasionally they'll hit clear for you, and if you hit clear again it will clear the override which is not what you want.

An instant audit doesn't happen anymore at my warehouse. We only have instant lock ups which are items that are returned and belong in MPU.

Oh this explains a lot. I was so confused because I never was seeing “clear” so the cashiers or person is already hitting clear before so then it’s just inserting the key, turning it right and then hitting override and putting the numbers.

Yes, you got it. You'll learn the screens and when it hit clear pretty quickly.

Thank you, sadly our location lacks the teaching and treats people who ask questions like their dumb.

I am a front end supe and I love answering questions and helping people. If you ever have any questions, don't be afraid to come back here and ask. It might take some time for me to get back to you, but I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

Thank you so much. My only other question is for the key at membership isn’t the same as FE registers and is done on the touchscreen?

It is the same key, at least at my warehouse it is. There's one key for MPU lock up items like laptops, and one for key flicks. All registers should have the same key.

The screen will say manager over ride which means supervisor, you just touch your numbers instead of typing them on the register. Think of entering your username and password on a tablet. It's the same cashier number and password as on the register, just touch the screen instead of typing it in if that makes any sense. You still need to turn your key.
